I got this chair when I was pregnant with my son, needing to put my feet up. I am not sure if the manufacturer changed in the meantime, given the experience of some reviewers, but my chair is still going strong (in it now!!) as my son prepares for his 9th birthday! We are seasonal campers and I am in this chair 2-3 months of the year, no issues. Was looking on this site to see about getting another or a future replacement as the only issue is burn marks from the campfire. Highly recommended.

Best Camp Chair

We have had two of these chairs for 5+ years and they are well used and still in great shape! We took the footrest off a long time ago as we didn't really use it, but the rest of the chair is awesome! The mesh seat dries quickly if it rains and the chair is very durable. I would highly recommend this chair!

Replaced a regular roots chair

After someone lost my regular roots chair I went out and bought one of these. My main complaint is how unbalanced it is. When you lean forward, even slightly, you topple forward. The foot part does come off, but can be tricky. Other wise, as long as you are just sitting there, it's a great chair for curling up by a camp fire and reading a book.

Bought 4 Roots chairs. Two regular & two of these.
The chairs themselves are okay, although the screws all had to be replaced as half were stripped.
The footrests are garbage. Both tore through the ends after about 6 hours of use. Will never buy these again.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: Is this chair really 250 lbs? It sounds too heavy to carry and to heavy to transport , even in an F250, is this a typo???
