Rivers Edge 2-Man Ladder Stand

I purchased this two person tree stand because it is my daughter's first year as an apprentice hunter and as her mentor, I have to sit right with her while she shoots. I chose this one from Canadian Tire because it was a good price on sale and I have purchased this brand in the past and had no issues with them. First off, this stand is very easy to assemble and all of the required parts were in the box. It was assembled in about an hour by myself and my 13 year old daughter using just a 1/2" wrench and a 1/2" ratchet socket. The metal is cut, drilled, bent and coated perfectly. We had zero issues putting it together. Once we got it out into the bush (without the ladder attached) we realized that it would be very difficult for the two of us to get it up on the tree if it was completely assembled with all of the ladder sections on. The top part is quite a bit heavier than a 1 person stand. What we did was put the first ladder section on and then I pushed it up the tree vertically until it was high enough up for her to put the next ladder section on. We repeated for the 3rd ladder section and then proceeded to the straps. One thing that I would say could be improved are the straps. It would be nice if all of the straps were ratchet straps so that it is easier to tighten them. Don't pull to hard to tighten the cross straps because the little gold 1/2 rings will bend open. I would give this product a 4.5 star rating if I could choose that only because of the straps. All in all, this is a very good value 2 person tree stand that is well made and easy to assemble. It is quite comfortable when both of us get up in it and it is the perfect height. Please not that the picture I have provided doesn't show the camo curtain or the seat and arm rest pads because it was getting dark when we got to the point that I took the picture.
