Questions

1 - 3 of 3 Questions

Q: Where are the product specs? The amps that this device can support should be posted...Reese has many different configurations out there. This is crucial info depending on how many lights our trailers have on them...can you advise? Perhaps a manufacturer part number?

1 Answer
  • A: This unit is rated for up to 2.1 amps for Turn/Stop circuits and 5.6 amps for the Tail Light circuit. The tail light circuit is upgraded to include vehicles that use a pulse width modulation (PWM). This will allow the converter to turn on fully and give the trailer lights full brightness during activation. Can be used on a 2-wire or 3-wire system. The manufacturer part number is 78104. Added integrated short circuit protection safeguards itself and the tow vehicle against harmful electrical shorts and mis-wire situations. This kit includes all hardware needed for installation. It features added integrated short circuit protection which safeguards itself and the tow vehicle against harmful electrical shorts and mis-wire situations. It is designed to function with both LED and incandescent lighting systems.

Q: I am looking for a coverter that will allow me to use a 110volt fridge in my trailer and run it from the 12 volt batteries. Is this what I want?

1 Answer
  • A: No. Our converter is strictly a 12 volt system converter, designed to convert multiple functions into a single unit. Our converters are not designed to increase or decrease the current voltage. You will need to find an AC to DC converter. The major issue will be in sustaining the power needed to operate the fridge. Most likely you will need to an alternator/generator power the converter to keep the fridge operating.
