I can’t believe how easy it went into the quads receiver!! It slid right in without any lubricant. The ball mated perfectly and together they do exactly as intended!!!! I can’t wait to show everyone how easy the shaft goes in and out

Q: Can I put a 2 5/16 ball on it?

1 Answer

A: No, this ball mount cannot accommodate a 2-5/16” tow ball. Such balls typically have a shank (bolt) diameter of 1” or 1-1/4”, while this particular ball mount has a hole size of only 3/4”. Additionally, a 2-5/16” tow ball has a substantially higher towing capacity than this ball mount, as such it is designed to not fit. The Gross Vehicle Weight of your trailer would likely greatly exceed the capacity of some components of the system. We would suggest you carefully evaluate your towing requirements and put together a system that does not exceed the Gross Vehicle Weight and Tongue Weight of your trailer. You may be able to achieve this by simply replacing the coupler of your trailer for one that accepts a smaller ball size but can still handle the Tongue Weight of the trailer.
