RED TEK LeakStop A/C Seal Repair is a formulated leak sealant designed for rubber parts and O-rings located in hose connections inside air conditioning and refrigeration systems. It is designed to seal leaks that release one pound of refrigerant or less per day. It's compatible with most common refrigeration materials and lubricants including R134a, R12, metal components, mineral and synthetic (Ester and PAG) lubricants, seals, gaskets, hoses, compressors and O-rings. Not appropriate for compressor shaft leaks, extremely large leaks (1 lb p/day) or leaks in metal components.

I followed the instructions on the back of the can and had it fitted to the correct port, ran the air for 15 minutes and then added a can of refrigerant recharge and it didn’t even turn cool.
It was not able to stop a leak in my lines

A: LeakStop conditionne les joints d'étanchéité et les joints toriques du système de climatisation. S'il y a une très petite fuite dans le système de climatisation, vous devez utiliser le ProSeal #0146118 pour boucher la fuite. Vous devez également installer le produit #0146134 Dry 12 avant d'installer le ProSeal pour décontaminer le système. Veuillez vous assurer que le système de climatisation fonctionne correctement avant d'ajouter le Dry12/ProSeal dans le système. Veillez également à ne pas surcharger le système.

Q: Will Red Tek part 014-6121-4 work with the gauge 14-7926-4. If not why not.

A: It should work without having any issues. I have run into some redtek cans that have a 1 way valve, so if you only use half a can, it can be saved for another vehicle and, you have to keep the puncture screw in the top of the can to keep the valve open. Aside from that, it works great.

Q: mon a/c est vide de réfrigérant, j'ai acheté le RedTek Dry, le Pro Seal, le Leak Stop et aussi le réfrigérant R1234yf. quels sont les étapes et dans quel ordre je dois utiliser ces produits. merci

A: Après avoir utilisé ces produits tous les garagistes que j'ai consulté ont refusé de travailler sur mon climatiseur. Les plus polis m'ont dit que ces produits contaminent leurs équipements et que la seule autre solution serait de changer le système au complet. J'ai utilisé le Leak Stop ensuite le Pro Seal. Les deux me permettaient de fonctionner pour un peu de temps, le Pro Seal un peu plus. J'ai utilisé le RedTek Dry pour assecher et ensuite le réfrigérant R12 pour ajuster la pression selon mon gauge. Éventuellement la fuite s'est empirer et les bonbones ne fonctionnent plus. (J'ai aussi utiliser le colorant mais je ne vois pas la fuite) Si je pouvais recommancer je ferais d'abord vérifier mon système par un mécanicien en qui j'ai confiance (difficile à trouver) Un bon mécanicien pourrait répérer la fuite et la réparée en remplaçant seulement la pièce défectueuse. Je me résigne à conduire sans climatiseur! Bonne chance.

A: Hi, We do not sell R13. If you are referring to our R12a series of replacement products then no, The Leak Stop does not include refrigerant. You will need refrigerant in your compressor before you can add the Leak Stop. Once the leak stop is in the system you can finish topping off the refrigerant. Thanks,

Q: Since I will be charging my system by weight, how much actual refrigerant is in a 4 oz can?

A: There is about 2oz in the additive cans. But the customer must use a can of r12a before using the additives to get the compressor going.

Q: hissing sound due to leak maybe.! i already have filled my car AC with R12a. i hear hissing sounds.. can i mix this with r12a?

A: You could mix, but this product will not fix a large leak. If you are hearing a hissing noise we would recommend having it checked out before adding anything else to the unit.
