Belt seemed short

I installed the belt but found it tough to slip over the alternator. I ended up removing the water pump pulley to feed the belt over.. If the belt was 1/2" longer it would have went on a lot easier..

F150 water pump replacement

I thought The parts were a decent quality and the prices were fine. Generally, I thought the workmanship was good. I was a little disappointed. I didn’t have the truck 20 minutes and I was out of antifreeze cause it wasn’t burp properly. I was very annoyed. I thought the price on labor was way too high. It was about four times the prices of parts and they seem to charge over and over again on the same labor, I got one of the most easiest water pumps to change, and they did charge twice the price of all the parts to change it, but on top of that, I had the Thermostat and belt changed when the truck came in the belt was already gone and to take the water pump off the thermostat is mounted right on it on this one. You have to take that off and put it back on, but they charge me for the belt and the Thermostat another three more Hours which is all part of changing the water pump so it ends up four times the price for labour I didn’t really think that was fair

A: Yes, there are 53" belts. The missing factor is what “rib” configuration ie: 3 rib, 4 rib, 5 rib etc. For example if it is a 6 rib our part no. would be “4060530.” More information needed such as "number of Multi V Ribs” we can specify a belt.
