Q: Will these repel squirrels the same was as Napthalene? Does it have a strong odor?

A: Moth balls are converted from naphthalene to paradichlorobenzene products, which are twice as effective as the traditional naphthalene product. Moth balls do work to repel squirrels, but keep in mind that the smell will fade over time and the squirrels may come back. As a safety precaution, please advise the consumer that moth balls are poisonous to people and pets, so if there are small children or cats/dogs around, moth balls should not be used as squirrels repellent.

Q: Do these deter skunks? I was planning on placing in a used yogurt container and putting it under our shed where they seem to like and replacing every couple months.

A: They should but I would use the moth balls alone, using any kind of bait would encourage them and other rodents to visit

Q: I have a moth problem in my house. I find them everywhere!!! I killed 4 the other day and I found a larvae in my bathroom twice. Does this product actually work on getting rid of these pesky guys?

A: I only just saw this question (2022)... Perhaps you have "larder moths" - my Mum had them in her kitchen as left lids off dry items and didnt close all paper containers, as hard time with her sore hands to keep undoing; we had to go through flour, even instant coffee, and check each item and destroy the whole bag/jar and then wipe out cupboard... so I think this may be an answer for you rather than use moth balls or such around food... would not hurt to try - poor Mum even were in a jar of instant coffee... she also had lots in the hedges around garden.

A: I used to scatter moth balls in the interior of a classic car I stored in the garage to keep mice from damaging the upholstery,and it worked. The cloth seats were in pristine condition when I sold the car.
