I have this antenna on 3 TVs and I get 41 digital channels 6 ft off the ground on my fence outside
Going to put it higher up to see if I get more reception when the weather breaks.

J'ai fait l'essai de cette antenne à l'intérieur d'une maison dont la toiture est en métal. Le résultat était non satisfaisant. J'aurais eu le même problème si je l'avais essayée à l'extérieur sur le toit ou près de la maison.

Getting all the channels I wanted/expected and more with excellent reception, both locally and from the US with it mounted in my attic (15 channels). For me direction was less important than position. A few feet left or right made a huge difference. Bundled amplifier is working great (same channel number/quality results on low or high setting) even after adding a splitter (but haven't tried to hook up a second tv/device yet).

Easy to setup. I get 10+ channels But I have a straight visual shot at the CN Tower 25 kms away. Even with these ideal conditions the antenna is very directional and aiming takes a lot of trial and error. Once set the reception is as good as cable. It works for me but I have ideal conditions.

A: Yes, the antenna can work in apartment buildings. The image quality and number of channels will depend on the direction your apartment is facing relative to the transmission towers and the local content being broadcast in your area. Over the air signals can have trouble passing through steel and concrete. So if your apartment is on the opposite side of the building relative to the transmission tower the video signals would likely be unable to pass through the building and be picked up by the antenna. For example, the majority of the off air transmissions in the Toronto market come from the south and South West. You will be able to receive signals from Canada if your apartment faces approximately the direction of the CN tower. As well, if you have clear sight lines to the South you will pick up signals from the US. To sum up If you apartment unit is facing the direction of the transmission tower it will receive signals being broadcast from the tower. If it is not facing the tower the signals may be unable to pass through your building and be received by you antenna.
