Conversion Box

Unit appeared to power up however was unable to obtain and transfer signal. Although unit presented "No Signal" a very faint ghost image was presented on my old analog tv. This may have been a rare defective or damaged unit and had already been returned once to the bargain shelf. This unit has already been returned for refund.
No, I do not recommend this product.

HDMI isn’t watchable same as recording
The composite output works good. I only kept this because I get 2 more channels than I get thru my tv. And it had a epg program guide

The closed captioning doesn't work on CBC. The remote is very small and requires a special battery, which isn't mentioned on the box.
The battery compartment is very hard to open, I almost gave up.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Closes caption is from the signal provider our device can only show what come through with the signal. Yes they are smaller sized remotes. The battery compartment opens easily I find when using a pen. Just push to the side and outwards. I hope this helps and we do thank you for purchasing our product.

Waste of money. Do not buy it.

Bought this box to hook up cable to an older plasma tv. Did not work at all. I already have a $15 digital rabbit ears, which makes this box obsolete. Got no signal or channels. My TV did not detect this box at all.

A: The Canadian Tire Team still has it wrong. The broadcast signal is digital, the old TV is analogue. The product converts the signal from Digital to Analogue. This was pointed out in an earller comment, but CT team has repeated the error in the previous post.

Q: Does this product work with "rabbit ears"?

A: Yes it does... I have tried to use the new (and costly) hd antennas but could not pick up any channels.. I find a good quality set of rabbit ears works best ( that I find) I'm using the GE millennium hd rabbit ears and pick up 15 channels with only 2 duplicate. I have not yet tried a smart antenna.
