Handy plyers that work well

These are handy for me as a woman, as they fit perfectly with oversized holes for my fingers and are somewhat smaller nosed than other fish plyers. Work well on small fish ie trout and bass, allows me to get the fish back into the water fast. Reminds me of a small surgical instrument, easy to use. Must dry off completely after use to make sure it won't rust. No problems with mine as long as you take care of them.

Not Long Enough

The nose on these pliers are not long enough for applications that we encounter on the West Coast. As well - the little locking mechanism locks up on you at irregular times. And if these pliers ever get wet, they will rust very very quickly. So its not very good for being on the lake or ocean

I have these for pike fishing and they do the job, but I find they lock up on me sometimes in the middle of trying to release a fish.

Nice design but they have a clip on both sides that get stuck when opening and closing the forceps.
