Good rod , better reel

I bought it in clearance 75% off , the cost I paid wass less than price of a normal reel. but the reel is somehow better than very high priced ones. balanced metal spool and metal drag clicking tab and other features make it very god reel. Rod is light weight and strong. with the price I paid I am 10 star happy , but the rod and reels get 5 star considering the price and 4 star if you compare them with more expensive rods.

Doesn’t work at all in the cold

Reel is nice (1 ball bearing, but metal instead of plastic nonetheless) rod will snap like a twig in cold weather though :/. I can’t say this is “tested” for March in Alberta honestly, but I will say the reel was worth the combo purchase, don’t forget that this comes with a 1 year warranty so keep your receipt with your gear :)

J'ai acheter cette ensemble canne et moulinet le mois dernier (Mai 2019) et la canne en 6'6(2m) en 2 brins sont de bonne qualité ni trop souple ni trop rigide donne une bonne action à la canne pour pêcher en toutes conditions d'un quai en mer ou en lac seul le moulinet et assez fragile d'un ratio de 5:1-1 et doté de 2 roulements à billes, je vous le recommande vue le rapport qualité prix même si à la longue il faudra y installer un moulinet plus haut de gamme.

Disappointed.

Purchased this rod about 6 weeks ago and loved it at first. Really enjoyed casting and fighting medium size bass with it. But after a few weeks there was a different feel, and then the drag indicator stopped working. Opened the reel up and found a broken piece of metal in it. Kept using it and hooked bottom. Gave a good pull and the rod shredded in my hand. It is going back and won't buy another Rapala. Love the lures, but disappointed in this combo.

I only would buy this Combo if it's on sale.... The rod is great but the reel and its break is very cheap. I will replace the reel one day as long as the Rod last a season.

Q: Just bought the rapela army fishing rod. But I put my line on and it wont stop giving slack even after I tighten the knob all the way??

A: Please try the below solutions and if the drag is still not tightening please follow up. 1. Make sure the anti reverse switch is clicked over, see attached image. 2. Remove the spool from the reel and ensure no debris is present, then reseat it.
