Great temporary bike rack for short or long trips

Solidly built, fully adjustable bike rack easily supported 3 mountain bikes. All parts are well made. Nothing cheap about it. Takes about 15 minutes to adjust and setup the first time and then less than 5 minutes to add back onto your car alny time after that since all is adjusted and in place. Bikes go on and off in less than a minute each. Kids (under 12) bikes that I had two of did not have a long enough crossbar to fit within the preset-width of the 2 arms that the bikes are set on, so I just had to slide the bikes on with one arm under the crossbar and one arm under the next part of the frame next to the seat post. Lots of padding and protection like rubberized hooks so it will not scratch your vehicle.

Straps and hooks could be beefier, give us a little more confidence that the thing won’t just snap in the middle of a turn or something. But we had 3 bikes on and it held.

Too complicated for a family rack

I bought this to bring my two young kids biking with me. The rack doesn't accomodate smaller framed bicycles; the cradles get in the way of loading bikes and special adapters are required for mounting anything but a standard men's frame geometery. I will be returning this purchase and by the looks of the packaging, it has been returned before.

Getting the rack onto the car is easy.

Light, easy to install on a variety of vehicles. Getting the bikes onto the rack is harder though: the straps are difficult to attach, the spacing doesn't work well for all bikes, and it's challenging to wrangle a bike past the outermost attachment point.
