The Rainfresh HP1 1-Micron Extra-Fine Pore Sediment Cartridge provides efficient 1-micron filtration for removing ultrafine particles and sediment from water. Constructed of 100% adhesive-free polypropylene microfiber media in a compact process, this cartridge forms a true graded density depth filter with excellent flow and high dirt-holding capacity. The unique graded density structure progressively traps larger particles towards the periphery and smaller particles towards the core, generating high efficiency. With the low-pressure drop, large void volume, and superior particle capture, the Rainfresh HP1 cartridge is an effective, economic solution for 1-micron filtration in residential, food & beverage, pharmaceutical, electronics, and other applications.

Great product, great price. Does the job. I use this filter for the lake water at my cottage. It really works well and removes all the sediment leaving me with very clear water. The trade off is that the filter needs to be cleaned or replaced on a more regular basis than if you are using a coarser filter ( 5 or 10 microns). It is also more expensive. I rinse off the filter with a hose and am able to remove a lot of the sediment and then reuse it several times.

Q: Will this cartridge work on the UFMCA model?

A: Hi Mike, Although Rainfresh extra fine pore cartridge (621026) will fit model UFMCA (621023) undersink drinking water system, it is not recommended. The correct replacement filter cartridge for this system is model CA1 (621084) which reduces chloramines, chlorine, taste odour and sediment. The extra fine pore cartridge only reduces sediment.
