Had 2 filters in a row that started to leak after only a couple of weeks. There was clearly a defect as the end cap was installed crooked when manufactured and they are both shorter. The threaded shaft that attaches the filter to the housing cap cracks at the base and there is nothing to stop a leak from there. Forget about customer service from Rainfresh, they won't recognize their responsibility. Tightening the filter with only 2 fingers shouldn't have caused a breakage. I even tried less force with a new filter and it leaks if not tightened enough. Paid extra money to have reusable filters and they end up in the trash and ruins your kitchen cabinet.

Ceramic filter barely fits because it is lightly too long for our older unit. I phoned the help line and was told it is the correct one. Previous one broke trying to make it fit.
