The 1S ceramic water filter cartridge filters bacteria, parasites and cysts as small as 0.3 micron, transforming untreated well, lake or river water into purer h2O. The ceramic filter can be cleaned and reused up to a 100 times, making it an economical and environmentally friendly product, perfect for homes relying on non-municipal water sources.

Had 2 filters in a row that started to leak after only a couple of weeks. There was clearly a defect as the end cap was installed crooked when manufactured and they are both shorter. The threaded shaft that attaches the filter to the housing cap cracks at the base and there is nothing to stop a leak from there. Forget about customer service from Rainfresh, they won't recognize their responsibility. Tightening the filter with only 2 fingers shouldn't have caused a breakage. I even tried less force with a new filter and it leaks if not tightened enough. Paid extra money to have reusable filters and they end up in the trash and ruins your kitchen cabinet.

No, I do not recommend this product.
