Great product when it doesn't drip

The product looks great and the installation is very straightforward. We have an under-sink filtration system feeding ours so the water tasted great. Unfortunately ours starting dripping a little over 2 years after installation. The manufacturer's warranty only lasts a year but they do offer replacement cartridges for $12 at the time of writing. Since we have very hard water here, I decided to remove the cartridge and soak in a 50/50 mixture of vinegar and water for 10 minutes in an attempt to reduce scale/lime buildup. After giving it a quick brush and reinstalling, it seems to have done the trick but only time will tell how long it will be before it starts dripping again.

Q: Can anyone tell me how much clearance there is between your counter/sink base and the spout of this unit? I'm replacing an existing faucet and don't want this to be any shorter than the existing one. Thanks.
