Uneven weight and coverage

My car takes 23" and 16" wipers for the windshield and after reading glowing reviews I picked up a set for a winter drive from SK to ON. They stayed pliable and didn't freeze up, though the longer wiper was consistently lighter through the mid-section and had trouble clearing that area, leading to water and cleaner collecting there and freeze-ups at the windshield's edge. The smaller wiper had a similar problem my guess is a design issue or a bad batch. I suspect the glowing reviews are either from summertime use or the simple fact that any new wipers will probably be better than the worn out rubber you're replacing. For winter, try the cheaper ones, they're probably as good or better.
