A: QUIKRETE® Zip-and-Mix Repair Mortar should only be applied to clean, porous areas free of foreign substances. The paint should be removed prior to installation.

Q: Can I use this product on wood ? will it crack or fall of over time ? My goal is to use it to paint a thin layer on wood canvas or wood object. Thank you so much !

A: If you mix it too thin it will not cure properly. Again if too much water is added it will most likely be brittle and crumble easily. I used this on wood and styrofoam following the mixing directions with no issues. If I can suggest another product that sounds like a good match for your needs. Look for a bag of Plani-Patch or Plani-Patch+

Q: Can this be uses to fill small gap between rock and post holder (secured into rock) as there is small movement to my post due to top of rock not being hundred percent flush with post holder.

Q: Can this be used to seal cracks in outside stucco? If so how do you colour match? My stucco is a dusty rose colour.

A: QUIKRETE® Zip & Mix Repair Mortar can be used to fill cracks in stucco. This product is only available in standard gray. Color matching can only be achieved by painting the surface once patched. QUIKRETE® Zip & Mix Repair Mortar can be painted with water-based acrylics after 7 days or with oil based or epoxy coatings after 28 days.

Q: Can I use this to fill gaps between bricks where mason are cement has fallen out

A: QUIKRETE® Zip and Mix Repair Mortar can be used to tuck point isolated areas of masonry mortar, but should not be used for laying brick or blocks. For large areas, we recommend instead using a masonry mortar more closely matching the original construction material.

Q: Can this product be used to repair leaking cracks in a foundation?

A: QUIKRETE® Zip & Mix Mortar can be used to repair dry foundation cracks, but will not bond adequately and quickly enough to repair active leaks. For active leaks, we recommend QUIKRETE® Hydraulic Water-Stop Cement instead. This product sets in a few minutes to plug the active leak.

Q: Can this be applied over blue skin on a to match a foundation?

A: QUIKRETE® Zip & Mix Mortar Repair will not bond directly to Henry Blueskin. Coating the vapor permeable water and air barrier will require the installation of mechanical fastening (lath) prior to installation.
