Gone through two

I received this as a Christmas present a year and a half ago. I do not fish that often, so when a friend and I were going up to the cottage in July I brought it (for its first use). I barely got out the door when my friend took the rod touched the small end and it broke off. Went to Canadian tire to exchange it for the exact same rod. Used it with no problems for that weekend. Then the second use was just last weekend and the same thing happened about 8" from the tip. I am returning this rod and getting an Ugly Stik. The reel seems nice but the rod is atrocious. DO NOT BUY!!!
