Broken rod tip and impossible reel line holder.

Tip broke while I was spooling the reel. Seriously. No drag or pressure and the last two inches of tip simply folded over. The rod and reel were stored in a case so the damage obviously occured at the store before I bought it and I did not notice. As well the line keeper on the reel is too tight to the reel body and I am unable to bring the line under it. I will be returning this for the same product this week so hopefully it is simply a one off.

First time i used it the rod broke 10inches from the end.hooked a weed and gave the rod a jerk to free it and it broke. Took back and got my money back.

I am seriously worried for almost everyone who wrote a review about this rod and snapping it. Bought it at the tail end of last season and have caught numerous trout (and burbot though the ice) with it. Even a 23” 6+lb trout... handled it perfectly, rod and reel have yet to skip a beat and are smooth as my reels twice the price. Maybe you guys should stick to heavy actions...?
