Cette fois, j'en n'ai pas eu pour mon argent. Même si cette canne quantum était à moitié prix (un incitateur pour moi ), la canne a cassé au niveau du dernier oeillet à deux reprises. Je l'ai rapportée la première fois et on me l'a changée pendant la garantie qui dure un an. Mais elle a encore cassé et je ne pense plus acheter de la maque quantum à l'avenir.

Good quality for the price.

I purchased this rod two years ago (summer 2011). The rod casts well, and is excellent for pickerel fishing (jigging) as it is very sensitive. The rod lacks the backbone required for bass fishing fishing, though I believe that it would work well as a crank bait rod because of this reason. The reel is exceptionally smooth to reel and the front drag system produces a constant resistance. However, the Canadian Tire "Quantum" brand does show itself in the fine engineering details. There is an area where the bail links to the reel body that is not a sight fit. This leaves a spot where the line will sometimes catch and your cast will be cut short (the lure just keeps flying and the line is cut) Overall, this is a great setup for the weekend angler.

Very smooth, high quality combo. Reel has lots of line capacity to suit any purpose with a really nice drag. Rod is very touchy but strong, Big league without a big league price.

Q: I purchased the Quantum resource a week ago on sale and saw this combo on sale today. what is the difference in these two reels? I know of the bearing and the colour difference just wonder if there are any other differences such as the material used to make the product, the weight, etc.

A: This combo is designed for general fishing and is not suitable downrigging. Downrigging is a special technique that requires a longer rod that contains a lot of fiberglass for added flexibility.
