Protec continuous cleaning cartridge helps keep your humidifier fresh and clean. The patented Aquastat works to inhibit bacteria and mould growth, and prevents slime and mineral buildup in humidifier surfaces. The cartridge contains no harsh chemicals, using the same technology as drinking water filters to provide clean, chemical-free mist. Q: Does this product act as a demineralizer also? The warm mist humidifier we purchased this winter needs to be cleaned twice a week because of scale buildup that makes the unit turn itself off.

A: The protec cleaning cartridge features a patented antimicrobial -aquastat to continually inhibit the growth of odor causing bacteria and mold in the cartridge as well as help prevent the buildup of slime in the humidifier. Keeps your mist fresh and clean. This technology has been used for years in the food and drinking water industry to prevent odor-causing bacteria.
