Questions
Q: My plumber just installed this battery for the back up sump pump (liberty brand) and it is making a low hissing/fizzy sound. Is this normal? The charger is liberty 1,5A charger 12V. I am worried. please let me know, thanks.
3 years agoA: Hello, it is hard to say what is happening based on the information provided. The battery does not make noise under normal operation. I would recommend checking proper venting is in place in the event of overcharging. Additionally, ensure the charger being used should be a "smart" charger, as they are able to detect the voltage of the battery in real-time, and only send a charge on an as-needed basis to maintain it at a fully charged level.
