I have tried many different types of trays and I find this type of tray grows the best seedlings. The roots grow very thick and strong. I am very happy with this tray.

Q: Cut I easily cut this into smaller trays for example into 2x3 cell sizes ? I want to be able to fit onto my narrow window ledge. Thanks

A: No, there is not much space between cells. It doesn't have any perforations to easily tear either.

Q: What are the arrows on this for? I think they are hidden by the packaging in this photo but I've been curious since I opened mine

A: I used the arrows to create a chart on paper so I knew what I planted in each spot since I planted a variety of seed types. When using multiple trays, I would also put different colour paint on each tray to help distinguish them.

Q: are they open in the bottom? Hi, I expect they would be but I can't see and want to know if they are as I want to bottom water them (not to mention I want them to drain well)

A: There is no self-watering feature to the tray, but small wholes could be added if the customer would like self-drainage or self-watering.
