Decent basic primer. Took at least 2 coats, 3 over slightly porous material, not unexpected. The finishing paint bonded well to this, which is the most important factor.

A: Hello Budget mama, It has an “enamel finish” meaning it levels out to a smooth and washable finish and is a water based product. If by the term “enamel” you are asking is this is an “oil” based paint, it is not. Q: Will this cover oil based paint without priming first?

A: Good day Peanut, yes a primer will be needed since you will be going from an oil-base to a water-base paint. We recommend our Premier Multi-Purpose Primer & Sealer. Q: Does this product have to have colour added? I tried using it and it appears extremely thin and doesn't cover much of anything at all. I've never used a paint with a consistency quite like this one.

Q: What Tip would you recommend for spraying this paint? Im using the Graco X5 with the rac X LP tips?

A: Tyler, our apologies but we are not familiar with this airless spray equipment, we suggest perhaps contacting the manufacturer of the equipment. We would however always recommend testing the paint with the sprayer in a small section of the substrate, before going to full application.
