Premier Clean™ Interior Walls Paint, Flat, White, 1-Gal

I bought 2 gallons of this paint and I was quite impressed with two primary things. --The first was the mild smell when wet made it a pleasant experience. I have two cats and was afraid the smell of paint would affect them but it didn't at all. I was not bothered by it at all. Of all the paints I have used in the last 50 years I would say this was the best smelling ever. --The second was the fact that this paint suck's up VOC's and traps them, cleaning your environment daily. (I have no way of proving this, but the label boldly makes this claim, so I will take them at their word.) VOC's are Volatile Organic Compounds which occur naturally and are sometime present in the things we buy such as carpeting etc... --I will also add a third like for the coverage even after one coat was really good. As always the preparation of the wall surfaces is crucial to a great finish. *A light sanding to removes sheen and nubs that maybe present on the walls is a good idea. *Wash down the walls to remove any dust or debris and to dampen the walls for a better adhesion. *Priming the walls with a tinted primer is a good idea if you are applying a high gloss paint. The purpose of the primer is to soak in and seal a layer to prevent your primary coats from being sucked in too deep into the surface that it doesn't cover well sometimes leaving a finish that is often called "Flashing" (an uneven appearance of a paint coating's gloss, sheen or luster.) *Allow a couple days to dry/seal the primer layer well deep down at the base of the coat. You can lightly dampen the surface after it has sealed to get the primary coat to bond to the primer. (This isn't always necessary but may help if the previous paint job was a glossy finish.) "Be sure to maintain a constant temperature in the room along with avoiding any excessive humidity. I am very happy with this paints' performance. I am delighted that it has the health conscious benefit of removing VOC's that can make me and my cats sick, from the room. Decorating is healthy way to improve mental health; having a paint that goes a step further to improve physical health is just awesomeness that few paint makers consider. :)

I have owned a paint store, am a certified product consultant, an interior decorator, and painting contractor. This is possibly the worst paint I've ever used.  Despite using quality brushes and rollers this paint flashed like crazy, to the point of having to repaint entire walls. It required 3  coats to cover a light beige (and was painting the color greige) . I actually considered abandoning it and restarting the project 3 gallons into the job. It was like using a whitewash finish only worse because of the brutal flashing. I will never purchase this again even if it's 90% off.

Very happy with this paint. Goes on well. Great coverage and the smell is minimal and only lasts a few days. Very pleased with this product and will continue to use in the future.
