Perfect iced coffee

I’ve used this nonstop since I got it. A much more economical way of having iced coffee. It does leak slightly from the top lid that covers the filter but the grounds don’t come through. It’s fairly compact which is great.

Superbe cafetière à infusion à froid! Le verre est de bonne qualité et le format 6 tasses est parfait pour préparer une bonne quantité de café froid pour la semaine. Facile à utiliser, le résultat est doux et peu acide comparé au café filtre traditionnel. Le fait qu'elle passe au lave-vaisselle est un gros plus pour l'entretien. Je recommande fortement pour les amateurs de café froid maison!

Not Bad, Not Great

Easy to clean/easy to use, but the design of the rubber liner on the bottom (so the glass doesn’t scratch or break) isn’t sealed properly, so you have to dry it very well or mold will happen between the liner and the glass. As well, no matter how course your grinds are, you’ll get a lot of fines coming through, so best to have cheese cloth/traditional coffee filters on hand to minimize them in your cup.

Mesh not fine enough

Bought this to avoid brewing dril coffee just to ice it. But the mesh is not fine enough for pre-ground coffee, the grinds go right through. Also not airtight as described. Waste of money since I'd need to buy whole bean and Coarse grind to use this $40 infuser. Would return if I kept thr packaging.

No, I do not recommend this product.

  • A: Yes, this could be used for hot coffee. The mesh on the filter is smaller than a French press so a course grind would steep just fine, basically just like a tea infuser.

Q: Is there a way to remove the grinds after the coffee is ready? Or do they stay in the infuser and are filtered cup-by-cup, making each cup stronger and stronger as the days pass?

  • A: Hi there, Making coffee: Grind the coffee coarsely, which you can do yourself at home or wherever you buy the beans. Combine the grounds with water, then let it steep overnight, or for around 12 hours. This slow infusion gives a rich strong coffee. Strain after the elapsed time with the built in filter. What it makes: Cold brewed coffee can be served iced or hot. It is up to the end user! Making the coffee for hot or cold starts and finishes the same way in the brewer. For hot coffee simply put it in a microwave and reheat. When warming it for hot coffee it is sometimes diluted with water based on preference. Cold coffee can be done by pouring your brew over ice and finishing as desired. Milk sugar etc. Thanks!
