Fellowes shredder

I bought this a few weeks ago. Have barely used it. Shredder only half full. Have fed paper only, no more than 3 thicknesses. Not used now for about 10 days. Tried to shred a small piece off paper & it won't go through. Tried reverse to clear any blockage - nothing goes through although I can see some paper from the top of the machine.

Q: Can the on/off button be left in the on position continuously?

  • A: Hi Retird. Thank you for your question. If you plan on using the unit, then yes. The unit is designed to go into stand by when not in use, but it is still powered on. Best practice is to turn the unit off when not in use.
