fire pitiful

Bought this on the way to the campsite one time when there was a fire ban. It was raining hard (yes still a fire ban) and this fire pit was so sad. No heat, very little flame, for the size and price I expected much more. Thankfully the campsite was prepared and had several propane pits for rent. This is ideal for people with apartment size balcony's and or small children, or if your on the run and dont want anyone to spot you heating up your food.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Love our little ban buster

We bought this to take camping in Tofino & Ucluelet as the weather there can be a bit iffy We've ended up using it on the patio at home. It's great! We have fire bans all summer & when the temp dips at night it's great to have a fire to take the chill off. Don't expect this to be the same as a big campfire, that's not what it is, it's a little firepit that takes the dampness off. My only complaint would be that the finish burned off the kettle holder part & so we had flying paint coming off for the first little while.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Love It....

I recently purchased this portable campfire and I Love It!!! It's durable, lightweight, and easy to use. It's clean and easy to store. I also Love that it's portable....and we don't have to worry about campgrounds that ban campers from bringing their own wood.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: Why are these discontinued? With the extreme likelihood of more campfire bans, how does it make sense to stop carrying one of the best alternatives available? Is there a replacement product?

1 Answer
  • A: I can answer the second part of this myself. I saw two types of propane fires in my local CT, both on sale well under $200. I'd include the product numbers but I can't find either of them on the website. There was no indication they were approved for cooking, but where there's a flame, there's a way.
