I bought this despite the bad reviews and now regretting it. This doesn't stop the flow of water, complete waste of money.

Not ideal for FluidMaster Valves

a month ago

not ideal for Fluidmaster. I tried two of these plumb shop units on my Fluidmaster and they would allow the tank to fill once, and then not again. I got some OEM FluidMaster gaskets and it worked flawlessly.

The packaging says it's a replacement for the Fluidmaster 242 diaphragm but it doesn't make the grade. Momentarily shut off the fill, then the leaking started. Something wrong in the design or material but it doesn't seal. Went and bought the real thing and no more problems. Don't waste your time installing this generic replacement part in a Fluidmaster. Do it once and do it right.

Great for fixing older Gerber tank flush valve

It fits perfectly the Gerber brand flush valve from 12-15 years ago. Now they called plumber shop or whatever brand. That's it. Twist the valve head like a screw to remove-it, see video on youtube.
