I thought by buying a more expensive unit that it would be more effective than a less expensive throw-away item. Wrong! It is difficult to turn the dial off and on (once you locate the hard to find indicators that is). Then it seems to take forever to register the moisture level in the soil. Sorry but I'm returning this and going back to the simple, bargain throw-away product instead.

No, I do not recommend this product.
