Cord isn’t long enough to reach the front of the truck, had to add an extension cord under the hood so the end of that could stick out the grill. How hard is it to get that right!!!

A: Hi, this block heater does not have an internal thermal cutoff. when you plan to use it, the block heater should be plugged in at least 3-4 hours before hand. With that said there is nothing wrong leaving it plugged in overnight or longer. Thanks,
