It's a "nope" from me--dog almost drowned

I don't recommend the product. I bought it for my 17-pound lhasa apso. It did not hold his head out of the water, and when he tried to swim he veered off to the side and rolled over. I had to hold him while he was in the water or he would have drowned. Please be cautious when buying this product or any other life vest for your dog. It is not so easy to just buy the vest and then put the dog in the water. You really have to take seriously the fit and quality. Also, it would be well worth any amount of money to save your dog, so if you find a vest that fits, but it is expensive, do not hesitate to buy that one over a less expensive one. Finally, not all dogs are natural swimmers. I learned this from putting my own dog in the water. Again, if I had not been there next to him, he would've drowned. Please exercise extreme caution with your dog and the water and stay with them as you would a baby while you are trying these out.

No, I do not recommend this product.

The large fits like a medium. The best was too small for my dog I gave the vest to my sister for her dog Joey a blue heeler, she absolutely loves the vest and it keeps him afloat in the lake.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Fit is a challenge

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This vest has a wide bottom piece that goes between the front legs. Be sure to try this one on in the store to make sure it will not rub your dog's front legs. Otherwise I liked the design. We were not able to try this in action.
