Permatex OPTIMUM GREY Gasket Maker combines increased vibration resistance with extreme (intermittent) temperature resistance: -65°F to 700°F (-54°C to 371°C). It is formulated for high-performance and high temperature applications common in modern and upgraded engines. OPTIMUM GREY is ideal for rigid aluminum parts that operate under high torque loads. It is sensor safe, low odor, non-corrosive and provides outstanding resistance to oils, coolant and shop fluids.

Great for connections requiring oil resistance.

This worked great for the end cover on my tractor hydrostatic transmission, whch is fully submerged in oil all the time. Just put a bead all around the perimeter, fasten part finger tight, wait an hour, then tighten to manufacturer specs. Worked as advertised.

Product works as expected creating a good seal. Need to remember to clean out dispensing tip before it dries otherwise it can’t be used again without spending time picking it out after
