    I bought this yesterday and tried to use it immediately. One of the two tubes (the actual epoxy resin, I think) refused to flow up the 'mixing tube' so I ended up removing the tube and squirting the resin and hardener onto a piece of foil and mixing with a stir stick. It's a shame, as I was looking forward to using the 'pin point application' aspect of the tube. I also have very low confidence in being able to use the remaining glue, as the closure seems less than perfect. That said, the epoxy itself is top-notch, so I gave it 3 stars. It bonded very well to the aluminum I used it on.

    No, I do not recommend this product.

    works well and sets fast

    the instruction are very clear the glue works very well ans sets to a very strong bond you have enough time to make minor adjustments to positioning and it sets fast enough so you don't have to worry about it moving out of place

    This was the best epoxy I used in a long time. The self mixing tool was really worth it and able to get into tight spots when needed. I wish they made more like this for the other epoxy versions.

    Q: Is this product food safe? I need to repair a crack on an acrylic bowl and would like to know if this product is food safe.

    • A: I'm a little surprised at what the CanadianTireTeam said in response to this question. The cured adhesive may well be 'food safe' but that assumes there is no leaching of materials after curing. This can't be assumed to be the case. Honestly, the right answer, especially from someone with potential legal liability is "no, this product is not rated as food safe" Not all polymers are equal. Some are more inert than others. Look at the controversy around plastic water bottles.

    • A: Hello, thank for your question. Yes, Permatex Flow-Mix Epoxy can be used to bond wood to metal. It will bond Metal, Wood, Rubber, Fibreglass, Chrome, Glass, Fabric and Ceramic. For best results, be sure to roughen smooth surfaces with sand paper or an abrasive. Also be sure to clean and dry surfaces before applying the epoxy. Thank you.
