Good quality and performs the task of reducing moisture penetration but the price is way too high. I went with it only because the time lost in backtracking to alternate supplier would have cost me more.

Q: Dielectric Grease is also supposed to be good for lubricating rubber o-rings in certain plumbing applications. Does this brand do the same?

A: Hello, thank you for your question on Permatex Dielectric Grease. Depending on the type of rubber compound that the O-Ring is made from, silicone-based lubricants can be the preferred choice. Permatex Dielectric Grease is a silicone-based lubricant. Not only does it have dielectric properties, it is also recommended for insulating/lubricating the rubber housings of electrical connections. Permatex Dielectric Grease can be used to lubricant rubber O-Rings as well. However, it is recommended to first investigate what compound the O-ring is made from and whether the manufacturer identifies any specifications for lubrication. Thank you.
