Permatex’s Anti-Seize Lubricant is a highly refined blend of aluminum, copper, and graphite lubricants. Use during assembly to prevent galling, corrosion, and seizing due to weathering or chemicals. Anti-Seize assures easier disassembly. Temperature range: -60°F to 1600°F (-51°C to 871°C). Salt, corrosion, and moisture resistant and is ideal for marine use. Non-aerosol version meets Mil Spec #907E. Aerosol – Level 3*

Adding neverseize to your toolbox can be the best thing you'll ever do. A little dab is all you need. Bolts will be able to be removed very easily in the future. Very important if you live in the rust belt.

Q: Can this be used on the ends of a 500W T3 halogen bulb? Does this Silver Anti Seize also conduct electricity like the "Permatex® Anti-Seize Lubricant, Copper" anti seize?

1 Answer

A: Hello Consistency, thank you for your question on Permatex Anti-Seize. A situation where Anti-Seize might be used in an electrical environment would be where a current passes through a threaded assembly. Anti-seize can be applied to the threaded fastener to prevent corrosion between the threads. Corrosion can cause significant resistance to electrical conductivity. The mixture of metal flakes within the anti-seize compound should not inhibit the electrical flow. However, the question on whether Anti-Seize will improve electrical conductivity, aside from preventing corrosion, is not determined. Based on your two questions, we are assuming you are needing a solution to a physical connection problem with a halogen bulb. We do not recommend anti-seize to solve this problem. Lighting and electrical questions are not our area of expertise. It may be best to contact the bulb manufacturer for assistance. We are sorry that we cannot answer this type of question.
