Permatex High-Temperature, High-Strength Threadlocker Red is ideal for heavy-duty applications 3/8″ to 1″ (10mm to 25mm). Red threadlocker is well-suited for permanently locking studs and press fits. Threadlocker RED adds 3,000 PSI holding power on slip and press fit assemblies, and replaces set screws and snap rings. Permatex’s Threadlocker Red locks against vibration loosening. May require heat or special tools for removal. This high-temperature formulation is designed for high performance applications that require extreme temperature resistance. Suited for temperatures up to 450°F (232°C).

Bottle was almost empty.
Permatex Threadlockers work by anaerobic technology, whereby they cure and harden in the absence of air and presence of metal ions. For Threadlockers to not begin curing in the bottle, an air gap over the Threadlocker is required to maintain product stability. As well, the bottles are made of special air-permeable polyethylene which allows air to pass through the wall. Larger container sizes are necessary to allow enough air contact so that the anerobic adhesive does not harden in the container. Thus, a bottle containing 10mL of Threadlocker will be more than “half-empty” in order to keep the product stable. Thank you again for your review.
