    Looks Great Does Not Last

Bought and installed this unit 17 months ago. The unit worked great until one morning the water would not come out of the faucet. I called a plumber thinking it was my water supply. $250 later the plumber informs me it the faucet. I called the Peerless repair phone number to be told the unit is discontinued but they would be happy to send me the parts.Of course it out of warranty so I bought a Moen and lived happily ever after.

No, I do not recommend this product.

    Nice

This faucet is really quite nice. The pull out neck is good to use and is quite handy for clearing the sink out and rinsing dishes. The only thing about this tap is that I find it hard to get a medium temperature of water when you have it running on a low pressure - it seems to either run cold or very hot.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

A beautiful high end looking faucet but...

This is a real beautiful looking fixture for a modern sink. New in the box - It was a rich luxurious piece of art nicely packaged with clear instructions and all parts required to replace or install from new. The unit has the features - a high arm spout for those tall pots, an integrated pull out spray head, a sure switch to lock spray or shower modes, powerful jets, and super smooth single handle to control water flow. Just a note on design taste, be careful to check your kitchen and sink type because this has a very high gloss which has it's place on a sink, and depending on your taste it may not be a fit if you have stainless steel. Regarding quality - The gloss really looked great but there seemed to be slight flaws on just the surface of the handle. It cannot be seen but definitely felt as you run your hands ever so lightly over the surface there are what feels like tiny burs. There were tiny imperfections on the handle surfaces and nowhere else. Hopefully this is a one of because it looks great and the controls are very smooth and light in movement. After a weeks use the gloss seems to keep its sheen without taking on finger prints. If there is a real fly in the ointment it has to be that the spray head is a two handed operation to pull it out. The head firmly clicks into the arm, but it seems too tight, and it is foreseeable that over time the amount of effort to pull it down will likely damage the base mounting or arm. Also noted after the installation was that the spout position was not totally void of movement, when moved off centre. Due to the tension of the hose inside the faucet whenever the spout was positioned off centre it would have a tendency to move back a bit towards centre, like a weak spring. This was a bit unexpected and annoying. The quality of the parts otherwise seem to be good, all of the hoses seemed to be sturdy, they fit well, the mounting hardware including the cover plate was solid, just some tiny problems with fit, finish, and execution. I really found the instructions good, easy to follow, and the parts all fell into place as instructed. I have very mixed feelings about this Peerless faucet - I love how it looks, how smoothly the one handle controls operate, how well the jets work, how well the button works which controls the spray. On the negative I find it difficult to give this beautiful product full marks, based on the few short comings which could grow to be bigger problems over time. The problem with the tight fitting spray head attached to the arm, the tiny pieces holding the spray head to the hose, and the none neutral spout position where the spout wants to move back to centre (due to the hose tension). The tiny burs noticed on the handle surface was something which shouldn't have been there on a new purchase, especially on what one would consider a higher end type of fixture. This may be covered under a warranty, as per included documents, but at this time we won't go there as that may be another story for a follow up review

    Yes, I recommend this product.
