Coconut Husk Basket Liner

I’ve been buying these liners from CT for years. They work very well and there was an end-of-season sale on them so I stocked up for next year. A word of warning, do not store them in a garden shed or location where squirrels or mice can get at them. They love ripping them apart and lining their nests with them.

A: I actually used them for my middle school students to make Hobbit Houses!:) The can be molded slightly if you wet them, but not sure if you could actually make them rectangular.

Q: My baskets are more cylindrical than round. Will a round pre-formed liner work in this basket? Can I get it to conform to the shape?

A: If you get a preformed liner that is a far bit bigger than your actual basket it is possible to make it work although it won’t have a perfect fit. Alternatively you can get 2 liners and cut them closer to the shape you are looking for, making sure they have overlapping coco liner.
