No soul in the sole...

My son purchased these for me as a Christmas gift. Very thoughtful however the sole did not last more than about 6 months. EXTREMELY disappointing!!

Q: Is the "suede" that these are made of leather? Are these slippers washable?

A: Yes these are genuine suede slippers that can be spot cleaned with suede cleaner. machine wash is possible but will reduce the life of the slipper and not recommended.
