The Griddle has a very Good quality and size. It is promoted as an accesory for the searwood pellet grill but it can't hold temperatures, so don't buy for this use.

So far so good!! Only made smash burgers so far and 1st try wasn’t too bad! A little confusing as one place it says no need to season it but in instructions, it says for best results, here’s how you season it.

Top Quality, Heavy Duty Cast Iron, Easy Cleanup

Adding the Weber Rust-Resistant Griddle Insert to the Searwood XL 600 give you tremendous grilling/outdoor cooking flexibility. The griddle has an easy set of break-in instructions (be sure to do the break-in to ensure long-life and proper cooking surface). Once complete the griddle is a large, smooth, cast-iron cooking surface perfect for smash-burgers, pancakes, over-easy eggs, sausage, fish, fried rice, and so much more. It really opens up the potential of the Searwood grill. Plus, it cleans up quickly and easily. The size of the griddle allows you to keep one medium sized grill on the XL 600, so you can still add a few steaks, potatoes, or other "standard" smoker/grill items to your cook. The griddle is a great addition to the Searwood.
