Bought this auger recently and tested it on 6 in thick ice and it works great. The handle configuration allows both hands to contribute to the drilling process while blades aggressively cut the ice. Great product and would highly recommend.

First one I bought the blades stopped working after a week. Returned it for another and the handle broke in less then a week.
