Awesome idea, terrible execution

Gets mouldy within a few days, leaks so much water out the bottom you need a big deep dish to hold it all. Just a big leaky mess with seeds that are too long after about 4 days. Super disappointed.

Instructions Not Great

I will start by saying this is a great product idea and there's a reason it can be so hard to find. The instructions said to place a plastic bag loosely over the product to create a greenhouse effect and help the seeds sprout. I feel like this created too much condensation as the next day about half the seeds had come off into the drip tray. We were able to salvage and reapply most of the seeds with the product laying down, dry for a couple days and start again (without the bag!) but it wasn't easy. The wet seeds are very sticky and can be hard to apply. It's sprouted alright but did shed some of the bottom seeds beforehand (just watering it normally creates quite a bit of moisture that can dislodge the seeds). Maybe next time the seeds will stay on better at the bottom when they're not handled so much. I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt since I really like the product and am not experienced with Chia Pets but I definitely don't recommend using a bag.
