This spade is a great tool for digging hard ground. I hand dug 30 yards of dirt off my property through gravel, dirt, large rocks and clay with no problem. I even used it to pry and move a 400lb rock using a log as a lever point and this spade did not bend or break. After a bit of use the tip became quite sharp and it helped it cut the soil even better. The weight of it is quite significant compared to other spades, but it’s 100% worth it. You will never need to buy a new spade after purchasing this one.
