Steel is King

Best unexpected feature is the handle comfortably allows for side by side two handed grip if needed. The shovel itself is slightly heavier than a conventional wood handled one but the oval (steel) shaft and welded blade make very short work of packed snow and ice. Lifetime warranty finishes the deal.

Great features and great uses!

I bought this spade in the winter for ice chipping and scraping. The long pole and wide handle make it easy to hold onto and manoeuvre, and less strain on the back. Now I'm using it indoors as part of a carpert removing project. It's a great tool for removing old carpet staples from the plywood floor!

Had for a few weeks. Great for scrapping ice off driveway. It's solid and 1 piece with a sharp edge. Might damage your driveway if you're not careful. Noticed a bit of rust after using outside but able to wipe it off.
