This is the best bird seed. The Redpoles and Chickadees love them. European house sparrows don’t. European house sparrows are an invasive species that are killing our native birds. Some species indirectly by outcompeting them, some species, especially hole nesters they are killing directly. A E H swallow will follow a Mountain Blue Bird to its nest and peck it every time it tries to get out. Black oil sunflower seeds should be the only bird seed Canadian Tire sells.
