Purchased these and the box is merchandised in the aisle with the high fragrance dryer sheets, laundry detergents etc. This is an OPEN package. The dryer balls absorbed heavy fragrance. Which I did not realize till I was home. Contacted the store. They could care less. Said that's the area it's supposed to be. Very disappointing!.

Eco-friendly way to say goodbye to dryer sheets

Great eco-friendly product. Heads up for pet owners; fur & hair can cling to the balls and end up spreading to fabrics which attract hair & fur. Though this is all dependent on the type dryer, settings, and all sorts of other life conditions. None the less; I am still so glad to be done with wasteful dryer sheets.

Q: How many do we need to put in the dryer? One or all 3?

A: I have been using all three in a large capacity dryer with great effect. As a result have not used fabric softener or dryer sheets in almost a year. If you need a little scent add a few drops of essential oil to the wool balls.
