Does not accommodate 1LB, and can't be returned

Product claims it is for a 1LB block of butter, but it does not accommodate 1LB in Ontario. Can't be returned either since the return policy is to return it unopened.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Doesn't fit 1lb butter

Says it fits 1lb butter, but the interior is too short and the cover rests on top of a 1lb brick of butter and doesn't make contact with the bottom of the dish.

One Pound Butter Dish -- NOT!!

I had great expectations when I found this glass (not plastic!) butter dish for use in our new fridge. (The old fridge had a butter tray in a compartment.) As I tried it out at home, the full pound of butter (still in the foil wrapper) sat perfectly on the tray, but then I put the glass lid on top...alas, the lid sat about 1 centimeter above the tray. The lid is long enough but not tall enough. If the butter was really soft, it might squish down, but then you would have a greasy cover, hard to lift off. I returned the product for a full refund. A simple adjustment to the dimensions, and maybe a lift handle, would yield a great usable product, and even better would be measuremnet marks on the tray! That product I would buy in an instant!

Apparently , plastic touching your food is bad for you . I got rid of my Teflon cookware , plastic food storage and the Tupperware plastic butter dish . I got this glass butter dish too . I already feel better !!!
