Q: Does the garbage bag ring attach to anything or does it just rest on the garbage can

A: Place the Bag in the Can: Put the garbage bag inside the can, letting the open edge of the bag hang over the rim of the can. Apply the Bag Ring: Press the bag ring down over the bag and onto the rim of the can. The ring sandwiches the bag between itself and the rim of the can. Secures the Bag: The tension from the ring holds the bag in place, preventing it from slipping down into the can when weight is added (like tossing in trash).

Q: I own this garbage can and it's great.... But is the bag ring meant to be attached to the hinge? There are 2 holes in it at the back, but I don't see a way to attach it. Otherwise, it's easy to fall in the garbage bag when emptying it!
