We’re really sorry to hear that while you liked the concept, you weren’t able to get any water through the straw, especially after trying to troubleshoot itand ultimately had to return it. That’s definitely not the experience we want you to have with your Contigo Ashland 2.0 BPA-Free Travel Straw Water Bottle with AUTOSPOUT Lid & Handle, 40 oz.

The Ashland 2.0 is designed with our AUTOSPOUT® lid system, which automatically opens the straw with the push of a button and includes a protective spout cover to help keep dirt and debris out. When functioning properly, the internal straw and vent system allow for smooth, consistent water flow. If you were unable to draw any water no matter what you tried, it’s possible that:

The internal straw was not fully seated or securely connected to the underside of the lid

The vent valve was misaligned or blocked, preventing proper airflow

The silicone components were incorrectly positioned after cleaning

There was a manufacturing defect affecting the airflow system

Even with these considerations, you should not have to struggle to get basic functionality out of the bottle. It’s designed to be convenient and easy to use right out of the box.

We truly regret that this issue led to a return.
